About the Owner

As a child Kena Vance could not understand her attraction to hair, but as an adolescent she began to understand exactly what her purpose was…driven by pure passion, she was determined to become one of the best hair care specialists in the industry.

Kena completed her professional training in 2001 at Pivot Point Cosmetology Research Center in Chicago. Four years later she began work in a prestigious, upscale salon (BradCon International Hair Studio) in Norfolk, VA. There she gained most of her practical experience assisting Master Cosmetologist Shavon Boughton and traveling with world renowned hairstylist Patric Bradley. In 2007 Kena was recognized as Virginia’s Natural Hairstylist of the Year. Shortly after, she was published in Black Hair Sophisticates under “Your Go-To Guide For a Fresh Look”. Kena’s specialties are custom color, natural and healthy hair care services.
